Winter Park Memorial Hospital - Facts at a glance

Winter Park Memorial Hospital is a 297-bed acute-care facility that primarily serves the residents of northeastern Orange and southeastern Seminole Counties. Winter Park Memorial began caring for patients in February 1955 when it first opened its doors to the public. Florida Hospital fully acquired Winter Park Memorial in July 2000 and today operates it as a not-for-profit, community-based hospital.

Florida Hospital is operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. It serves as a community hospital for Greater Orlando and as a major tertiary referral hospital for Central Florida and much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America. Adventist Health System operates 37 hospitals in ten states making it the largest not-for-profit protestant healthcare system in the United States.
