Cheering Children and Mickey Mouse to Help Unveil 1st Milestone of Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children

Lobby creates colorful, captivating setting and introduces innovative model for pediatric health care

WHAT:            Dozens of eager children will join forces with Mickey Mouse and officials from Florida
                   Hospital and Walt Disney World Resort as they unveil the first milestone of the Walt
                   Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children.

                   Be here on Thursday for an exclusive sneak peek before the Disney-themed lobby
                   officially opens to patients and their families. And, get a glimpse of the nature-inspired 
                   setting that features interactive activities and experiences for children of all ages to 
                   enjoy and ultimately enhance the patient experience.

                   You won't want to miss the excitement and energy as kids serve as "tour guides" to 
                   lead you through the lobby. The area was designed to provide a healing environment
                   for pediatric patients in the Central Florida community and beyond to help them 
                   overcome the apprehension of a hospital stay by engaging them into a world of
                   fantasy, imagination and adventure.

BCKGRND:    In September 2007, Florida Hospital and Walt Disney World Resort joined forces for an
                  unprecedented announcement regarding a $10 million commitment from the Walt  
                  Disney World Resort and Disney Worldwide Outreach. After more than two years of
                  construction and development, the one-of-a-kind lobby inside the Walt Disney Pavilion at
                  Florida Hospital for Children is complete. The elaborate and interactive entrance serves
                  as a gateway into the remainder of the children's hospital where the smallest patients 
                  from around the world will receive superior treatment and care from renowned physicians
                  and will be exposed to cutting-edge technology. Construction and renovations are
                  currently underway and will continue throughout the year to complete units and patient 
                  rooms by early 2011.
