Florida Hospital Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Receives Highest Accreditation for Rehab Programs

 

ORLANDO, Fla., May 16, 2008 - Florida Hospital Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine recently received accreditation for its Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation (Adults) and Stroke Rehabilitation specialties from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehab Facilities (CARF).  This represents the highest level of accreditation achievable from CARF, the nation's accreditation authority in the fields of medical rehabilitation, behavioral health, and employment and community support services. 

Florida Hospital's Stroke Rehabilitation specialty is the only inpatient rehab facility to achieve the stroke accreditation in Central Florida and is one of only 10 programs to receive it in the state of Florida.  "Florida Hospital Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine is honored to receive this accreditation that recognizes our commitment to provide the highest level of care for our patients.  We will continue to meet these standards of excellence and continue to be leaders in our industry," said Julian Coomes, associate director of Rehabilitation at Florida Hospital.
