New Physician Joins Central Florida Hepatology and Gastroenterology at Florida Hospital

ORLANDO, Fla., Aug. 28, 2007 - Central Florida Hepatology and Gastroenterology, located in the Florida Hospital Orlando Medical Plaza, is pleased to welcome Dr. Jose Nieto to its medical staff.  Nieto joins Dr. Jeremiah Donovan in the practice of gastroenterology and hepatology. 

Nieto is board certified in Gastroenterology and Hepatology and Internal Medicine. Nieto received his medical degree from the Western University of Health Sciences, in Pomona, CA.  He completed his surgical residency in Internal Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Nieto also completed research fellowships at the University of California, Los Angeles, in the areas of pancreatic/liver diseases and gastroenterology and hepatology. He recently completed a fellowship in advanced interventional endoscopy and endoscopic ultrasound at the University of California, Los Angeles Medical Center.

Nieto specializes in all aspects of gastrointestinal and liver diseases. He has a special interest in Barrett's esophagus and viral hepatitis and has dedicated his practice toward advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy and will be involved in the gastroenterological care of liver transplant patients.
