Ginn Open Presents Major Donation To Florida Children's Hospital at Florida Hospital

ORLANDO, Fla., Aug. 23, 2007 - Ginn Open officials will make a special presentation to Florida Children's Hospital at Florida Hospital. The Ginn Open will donate $143,700 to Florida Children's Hospital with a check presentation to Terry Newmyer, Senior Vice President of Business Development and Chief Development Officer of the Florida Hospital Foundation on behalf of Florida Children's Hospital.  This is the second consecutive year that Ginn Open has made a substantial donation to Florida Children's Hospital.

The 2007 Ginn Open, played April 9-15, marked Brittany Lincicome's second career win at age 21. She outlasted world No. 1 Lorena Ochoa and LPGA legend Laura Davies to claim the unique "Macchia" trophy designed by master glass artist Dale Chihuly and one of the biggest winner's checks this season - $390,000. On a day when the winds blew up to 40 m.p.h. and no one shot better than 71, Lincicome's even-par 72 outlasted Ochoa by five shots and Davies by seven on Sunday.
