Florida Hospital to Host Community Lecture on Colorectal Cancer
WHAT: On Feb. 1, Florida Hospital will host a community lecture regarding colorectal cancer. Florida Hospital physicians will discuss and answer questions regarding early detection, diagnosis and the latest treatment options available.
BKGRD: According to the CDC, colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States. More than 140,000 people were diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2005. Screening tests, such as colonoscopies, can help detect this form of cancer early which is when treatment works best.
WHO: The panel of physicians will consist of:
