Premier Award for Quality recognizes high-quality care and operational efficiency

ORLANDO, Fla., June 21, 2006 - Today, Florida Hospital East Orlando announced it has been recognized by the Premier Inc. healthcare alliance as a winner of the Premier Award for Quality in the area of Heart Failure. 

Lynne Bustraan, multisystem clinical nurse specialist at Florida Hospital East Orlando, accepted the award at the 2006 Premier Annual Breakthroughs Conference & Exhibition in Orlando this morning.

The Premier Award for Quality is based on quality and cost data regularly submitted to Premier for reporting and benchmarking purposes. The award is distinguished by its consideration of performance-based criteria, including clinical quality outcomes, clinical process indicators and resource utilization outcomes.
