Florida Hospital Apopka Celebrates Construction Milestone with Topping-Off Ceremony

APOPKA, Fla., Feb. 16, 2006 - Guests put on hard hats and celebrated a construction milestone at Florida Hospital Apopka.  Recently a topping-off ceremony was held to highlight the new three-story, 49,000-square-foot medical office building and revealed a sneak peek of the new atrium/destination lobby connected to the hospital.  Construction on this new face of Florida Hospital Apopka should be complete this summer.       

Florida Hospital Apopka is a 50-bed community hospital that offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services sees approximately 18,700 outpatients, 32,700 emergency patients, and more than 3,200 inpatients annually. 

Participants included the Honorable J.W. Arrowsmith, commissioner of the city of Apopka; John Land, mayor of Apopka; and Florida Hospital administrators Lars Houmann, Terry Owen, and Verbelee Nielsen-Swanson.
