Famous Artist Shares His Canvas with Pediatric Cancer Patients
Famous Artist Warms Hearts by Sharing His Canvas with Florida Hospital Pediatric Cancer Patients
ORLANDO, Fla., June 8, 2009 - World-renowned artist, Luis Sottil, is inviting ten pediatric oncology patients from Florida Hospital for Children to be artists for a day on June 8. At this time, these little patients who are battling cancer will be able to escape their daily routines of medical procedures and tests to paint unique masterpieces with a famous artist. During this heartwarming opportunity, Sottil will set up canvases with hearts in the middle, and the children will be given paintbrushes and palettes to create their own special works of art. Sottil will then add finishing touches to the paintings before taking them to be displayed in Eden Spa at Florida Hospital Cancer Institute, accompanied by the children's stories and photos. The pieces of artwork will be available for purchase and all proceeds will go back to Florida Hospital Cancer Institute.
