2008 Ryder Cup Captain Paul Azinger Hosts Florida Hospital Golden Gala XXVII Pro-Am Invitational

 

ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 16, 2007 - On Sunday morning, 2008 Ryder Cup Captain Paul Azinger will tee-off to help raise money for Florida Hospital at the Golden Gala XXVII Pro-Am Invitational.  The tournament has been part of Florida Hospital's Golden Gala weekend for more than 20 years, and has drawn more than 180 amateur players.  The tournament has already raised more than $200,000 that will benefit vital programs at Florida Hospital.

Each year, Florida Hospital hosts the Golden Gala Pro-Am Invitational and the Golden Gala event to raise money for Florida Hospital during the annual Golden Gala weekend. The Golden Gala is Florida Hospital's largest fundraising event, drawing more than 2,500 people.  Each year the gala includes a celebrity guest.  Since Pat Boone performed at the inaugural gala, the event has featured entertainers such as singers Tony Bennett and John Tesh, musical groups Alabama and the Boston Pops Symphony Orchestra, jazz great Wynton Marsalis, and comedians Bob Hope, Bill Cosby and last year's performer Jerry Seinfeld.  This year's Golden Gala will be held on Sunday, November 18.
